With a staircase leading to the upper floors, is beautifully lightened by a skylight – similar to the original one of the house, but with a modern design – and surrounded by exposed concrete walls with wooden formwork. The handrail – made with cords used for fishing – appear as a replicate to the old original scale railings of the house.
Five suites, with names of books written by Eça de Queiroz, are located in the upper floors. Each individual space was thought based on the privileged views of each of them, and personalized using the colour and the furniture which gives each room different atmosphere. In common, they have the recycled cork flooring, the wardrobes made with eucalyptus branches, the bathrooms, the kitchenette, and the details to be discovered.
